Each piece of equipment is on scheduled maintenance.
Each Driver has the authority to place the equipment down for repair. Each Driver has the authority to have work done locally and on the road. Each Driver has an account to pay for repairs as needed on the road. The Driver’s authority overrides that of the Maintenance Supervisor in the unlikely event that the Driver and Maintenance Supervisor disagree.
All of our equipment is equipped with new radial tires. Re-caps are not used. Only premium radials are specified. All chassis are ordered with tire self inflation systems. The tire policy has virtually eliminated road-side tire repair.
A third party Maintenance vendor surveys all equipment on the yard daily for repairs and has authority to perform repairs as required.
