Greensville Transport Company’s Safety and Security is Driver-focused. Careful hiring and training are the foundation of each Driver’s experience. Typically a Driver will spend about a week in Classroom Training and then spend three to six weeks with a Driver Trainer. Both the Trainee and the Trainer must agree the Trainee is ready to Solo Drive before the New Hire has completed the initial training.
A Third Party Safety Company is retained to Overlook Greenville’s Safety and Security Practices, Policies and Procedures. This Company performs Audits of our Company, provides Guidance and Training. It is also tasked with Driver Qualification and Background Checks as well as administering the Substance Abuse Testing Program.
Driver Committees write the procedures for Safe Operation of the Equipment, from the Pre and Post Trip Equipment Inspections to a review of the Customer’s Plant Safety and Security Rules. These Committees have successfully identified many methods that improve the safe movement of the Customer’s Product from Pick-up to Delivery. These step by step procedures are incorporated into the Safety Manual.
Greensville Transport has an established written Security Plan. Recently the U.S. DOT conducted a Company Security Audit for Compliance with the new Hazardous Material Security Plan Regulations. Greensville Transport’s Security Plan was found to be satisfactory.
Greensville Transport Company’s Safety and Security record is a testament to our Driver’s mature and careful approach to all of the work they do.
